As the renowned sport fish and predator in the farm pond, the Largemouth Bass eliminates forage fish and can grow to record size.  A big bass is a thrill to hook and land.  When stocked proportionate to the pond or lake size, Largemouth Bass are a definite asset.  Largemouth Bass should NOT be stocked into ponds prior to having forage fish established.  We suggest waiting 6 months to a year after your initial pond stocking before adding bass.  Stocking is usually in spring or fall.
